How to pause a participant’s engagement
As a Program Manager, you can temporarily pause a participant's coaching engagement without discontinuing their program. This is helpful in cases like vacations, extended leave, or other temporary circumstances. Here's how to do it:
Go to the Participants Section
Navigate to the Participants section in your dashboard. This is where you'll find a list of all participants.
Open the Actions Menu
Find the participant you'd like to pause. Click the Actions Menu.
Select “Pause Match”
In the menu, click Pause Match. This will open a form like the one shown below.
- Fill Out the Pause Form
- Reason: Select the reason for the pause (e.g., Vacation, Extended Leave, Other)
- Start Date: Choose the date when the pause should begin.
End Date: Select the date the participant will return.
💡Reminder : Pauses cannot exceed 2 months. If your participant will be absent for more than two months, then please contact support@hellosayge.com or your CSM to decide the best course of action together.
Click “Set Pause”
Once the form is complete, click Set Pause to schedule the pause.
What Happens After You Pause a Participant
- Immediate Pause: If the start date is today, the participant is paused immediately.
- Scheduled Pause: If the start date is in the future, the participant will be automatically paused on that date.
- Automatic Resume: Participants will be automatically unpaused on the end date you selected.
How to View an Existing Pause
You can view pause details at any time:
- Go to the Participants section.
- Open the Actions Menu for the participant.
- Click See Pause.
What the Participant Experiences
They’ll see the pause in their dashboard.
- While paused, participants will not be discontinued
- Once they are unpaused, they’ll receive an automatic email notification letting them know they have 2 weeks to complete a coaching session.
- If no session occurs within those 2 weeks, they will be discontinued from the program.
