The Matching Process

The match really matters!

As you fill out your matching survey, you are going to be asked series of questions so we know you better to match you with a coach who is going to be the best partner to you in what you want and need.

Matching is done through a collaboration of our team and our proprietary software. We consider tens of factors in multiple categories when matching you to your coach. These categories include:

1. Coaching areas: Coaching is yours and yours only. You can decide to work on your leadership skills, communication skills, productivity, or any combination of many possible areas and topics.
2. Professional: We want to know about your role and career:
   1. Responsibilities: individual contributor, manager, manager of managers.
   2. Area: Sales, engineering, operations, customer service.
3. Career stage: What stage of your career you are in.
   1. Individual contributor
      1. Early-stage
      2. Mid-career
      3. Experienced
   2. Manager
   3. Manager of managers
4. Personal: Where and who you are in your personal life:
   1. Family: (e.g., parenthood).
   2. Personal identity: You can request a match to be accommodated based on you or your coach's personal identity such as gender, race, ethnicity. If it matters to you, it matters to us.
   3. Personality, values, and character
   4. Communication style
5. Organizational:
   1. Organization Size: Enterprise, mid-size, small business, growth stage, startup.
   2. Industry: Software, agency, manufacturing, etc.
   3. Culture & environment: Company values, goals and targets, recent changes.
6. Logistical:
   1. Timezones & location.
   2. Language: We support coaching in over 10 languages.
7. Coaching Experience: How familiar and experienced you are with coaching can impact the type of your ideal coach.
